JESUS MINDED CHURCH

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Hebrews 10:24-25

ARTICLE 1: We believe the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God, without any error, the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.

ARTICLE 2: We believe in One Lord, One Faith and One Baptism, Ephesians 4:5.

ARTICLE 3: We believe the Holy Scriptures were given by the inspiration of God. Is therefore without error and is centered on the Lord Jesus Christ in His person and work, in His first and second coming to the earth, and what He plans for all eternity.

ARTICLE 4: We believe in the virgin birth and the death of Jesus Christ upon the cross, His burial and bodily resurrection from the grave, and the salvation He purchased for all who simply believe, trust, and obey His Word.

ARTICLE 5: We believe that God the Father, through His Son Jesus Christ, by the power of The Holy Spirit has initiated His salvation towards all men through the completed work of redemption and draws sinners to repentance by their hearing of the Gospel of good news. And that man, as an act of his own free will can respond or refuse God’s Grace. Therefore, man’s salvation is obtained only through Faith, but not by his own works, so that no man can ever boast.

ARTICLE 6: We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers the believer through the infilling of the Spirit, as the Apostles experienced and demonstrated on the day of Pentecost.

ARTICLE 7: We believe that the church, the body of Christ, His bride is built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets with Jesus Christ the Chief Cornerstone.

ARTICLE 8: We believe in the sacred ordinance of Water Baptism, not as a condition of, but rather as a result or proof that salvation has come to a believer.

ARTICLE 9: We believe that the saints of God are called to holy living in this present age where the light of sanctification shines in a dark world, drawing sinners unto the light of Christ.

ARTICLE 10: We believe in the eternal security of the believer and the eternal insecurity of the unbeliever, who at our Lord’s second coming, the saved shall forever be with Him, but the souls and spirits of the unbelieving remain after death conscious of judgment, condemnation, misery, and the torment of the lake of fire.

ARTICLE 11: We believe in the autonomy of the local church. The church shall manage its own affairs and shall not be subject to any other religious body or organization.

ARTICLE 12: We believe in tithing as set forth in Malachi 3.

ARTICLE 13: We believe in the sacred ordinances of foot washing and the observance of Holy Communion. We further believe in the institution of a monogamous marriage between male and female as established by God, which symbolizes the mystical union that exists between Christ and His Church. We DO NOT recognize, condone, nor perform same-sex unions.

ARTICLE 14: We believe that God has called and gifted each believer to go into the entire world and make disciples of all men, in compliance with the great commission of the church. We deem this our foremost priority until Christ raptures the church as His bride.

ARTICLE 15: We believe that the greatest gift and witness of the church is the demonstration of the nature of God, which is Love. It is the perfect expression of this gift that preserves Christ’s body until He returns.
